Our research program is focused on the characterization and targeting of leukemia stem cells (LSCs). We employ several experiment model systems to study primary stem cell populations.
Projects include analysis of LSC energy metabolism, the role of various niche environments, identification of key LSC-specific properties, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
Our team is comprised of individuals with a broad range of skills – molecular biology, chemistry, flow cytometry, biochemistry, animal models, computational biology and primary tissue systems. The group is highly collaborative and takes a rigorous multidisciplinary approach to address complex problems in science and medicine.
