The Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) at VA health systems around the country train allied health providers to provide comprehensive geriatric care.
Trainees in nursing, pharmacy, psychology, social work, audiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy and many others health professions participate in a variety of educational and clinical activities.
Trainees learn the unique considerations in care for complex, older adults within their specialty-specific practice. They gain experience and proficiency in providing interprofessional care while honing communication and leadership skills. They also participate in research, quality improvement and clinical delivery innovations for complex, older adults.
