I joined the Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes practice at the University of Colorado Hospital outpatient practice in the fall of 1994, working as a medical assistant in the practice. I quickly advanced into leadership roles in the clinic both in the front and back offices and soon developed an interest in patient affairs coordination and education.
Through the years, I have worked directly with the thyroid nodule and cancer providers, developing a national recognized patient care and educational program for physicians and advance practice providers. I have been honored to speak at the Thyroid Cancer Survivors International Symposium on a number of occasions and have been the acting liaison nfor the local support group over the past four years.
I am proud to now be joining the administrative team in the School of Medicine – Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes office to coordinate the diabetes fellowship, thyroid oncology fellowship along with the coordination of the Endocrinology Grand Rounds and Research Conference.
I strongly believe where a seed is planted, new life can grow with the right formula of care and nurturing.
