The Colorado Council for Healthcare Integrated Preparedness (CHIP), started July 29, 2011 was developed to support and advise the Center’s mission, and ensure alignment of projects with the Center’s goals. This council is comprised of key stakeholders representing all types of healthcare entities in the state of Colorado, for the focused purpose of acting in a meta-leadership role in the area of integrated disaster preparedness based on implementing an approach grounded in strategic alignment. The CHIP works towards an outcome that enables a context shift towards collaborative planning and integrative response efforts in the state of Colorado and has now become a part of the State’s ESF-8 Steering Committee’s integration efforts.
