You are eligible for most shifts you see on your Shiftboard.
Shifts are grouped into different categories, some of them may say ‘older female’ or ‘young female’. You may see both shifts available on your Shiftboard, this means you qualify for both and can sign up for both.
SP's have one week to sign up for a shift after it has been posted on Shiftboard. Coordinators generally have one week after that to assign shifts unless the project is extremely large and takes more time to schedule.
If you can only make a training and/or mock but not the portrayal, do not sign up for any. However, if you can make any, not all, of the portrayal dates and the training and/or mock, sign up for what you can do and send the coordinator an email letting them know what you can and cannot do. The coordinator will usually try and assign people who can make all the dates;however, they may need people for a few days here and there.
Because of the nature of our work, there is no way to trade shifts on Shiftboard. All changes must be made by contacting the Coordinator in charge of the project.
During a Project- The project coordinator is the point of contact for all things related to a project, including if you are running late, sick, need to leave or have completed your role. Always check in with the coordinator before leaving or if you have questions regarding the project you are there for.
Leave of Absence/extended time off- Contact your supervisor.
If you are feeling ill at all, let the coordinator know the day before your shift by 3pm, even if you are unsure that you will be sick the next day. If you are sick the day of a shift, contact the coordinator right away using the contact list.
This form is used when an employee is ill for more than 3 business days as well as other circumstances. Please check with the Business Specialist if you are unsure which circumstances require this form to be completed. The document is to be signed by your provider prior to returning to work. The provider must include thespecific datethe employee is able to return and is found on the form under section 2(a).
To complete a Fitness to Return to work assessment for a health-related event we require that you provide a copy of your job duties/description to your medical provider (ask your department for a copy of this). Please have the medical provider complete a narrative that describes the employee’s ability to perform the functions of their job. This narrative should include any specific limitations or restrictions relevant to those job duties. This narrative should be submitted on the medical provider’s letter head including the medical provider's information, signature and date completed. If you have additionalquestions, please feel free to contact HR.FML@ucdenver.edu
If you are scheduled for any shifts when you get a jury summons, tell the coordinator of the project immediately. If you are called in to appear, tell your coordinator. Your shift will be changed to Jury Duty pay. Please send all your paperwork for the summons to your supervisor. If a backup is scheduled before you are officially called in, you will still be compensated for the shift and may be asked to operate as a backup.
