Communications to Improve Health Outcomes Course for Standardized Patients
The CAPE (Center for Advancing Professional Excellence) and the University of Colorado offer a Communications to Improve Health Outcomes Course for Standardized Patients. This unique three-day certification addresses relationship-centered care and the need for SPs to facilitate learner interactions while incorporating improvements in healthcare elements. The importance of social medicine is now a part of most healthcare curricula (i.e., opioid management). After course completion, SPs will be able to portray advanced patient scenarios and coach learners in recognizing the deeper need for relationship-centered care and mitigating predispositions.
