Tracey has been with the Department of Surgery for 22 years and has helped build research throughout the Department. She started with the Division of GI, Trauma, and Endocrine Surgery (GITES) and gradually expanded her role, providing research assistance to more and more of the Department's divisions over the years. (The Clinical Research and Trials Unit now serves the entire Department of Surgery.) Tracey has several publications and shares the Department of Surgery's vision to Improve Every Life. She is an avid environmentalist and believes that in order to have healthy patients, we need a healthy planet. She is a Paul Harris Fellow with the Rotary Foundation, writes a column for her local paper, and has received several awards for her community work.

Mohammed is a cardiovascular surgeon from Baghdad. He started his new position in the University of Colorado Office of Clinical Research in November 2017. He is a research coordinator for the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Division of Vascular Surgery. He finished medical school in 1994 and earned his specialty degree in 2005, as a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon in Baghdad. He received a Master of Medical Education from University of Glasgow in 2011. Since 2015, he has been the associate editor of the New Iraqi Medical Journal. He was the director of Iraqi Center for Heart Diseases 2015-2016. Mohammed became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in July 2018. Mohammed strongly believes in teamwork in a friendly environment.

Jaimie is a clinical research coordinator in the Department of Surgery, joining the department in August 2019. Having received her Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2013, she has spent the majority of her last six years working in the biotechnology industry. Her last industry role was an analyst at a digital pathology CRO, gaining clinical experience working on pre- and active-trial client projects. A native Wisconsinite, she is passionate about her home state sports teams, as well as powerlifting, swing dancing, being involved in her community, and spoiling her cat, Theo, and two chinchillas, Gwyn and Chilly. She is also heavily involved with Swingin’ Denver, a swing dance school that provides classes and hosts events in the Denver metro area.

Amelia joined the Department of Surgery in 2021 as a clinical research coordinator specializing in transplant trials. A Virginia native, Amelia completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the College of William and Mary, followed by her Master of Public Health in Health Promotion at George Washington University. As a childhood cancer survivor, Amelia has been passionate about chronic disease research and advocacy from a young age. She has published in the journal Obesity and sits on the Survivorship Advisory Council for the nonprofit Children’s Cancer Cause.

Andrea is a clinical research coordinator in the Department of Surgery, joining the department in April 2021. In 2020, she obtained her Bachelor of Science with a major in Biochemistry and continues her journey in the field of medicine. She is currently involved in numerous clinical studies with cardiothoracic surgeon Brett Reece, MD. In addition to these studies, she is involved in gastrointestinal clinical studies with Jon Vogel, MD, including Colospan. She is pursuing her Master in Business Administration at University of Colorado, in hopes to intertwine business with her biochemistry background. Andrea is extremely family oriented and aspires to take care of her family by continuing to grow their small business. She was born in Torreon, Coahuila, in Mexico but has lived in Colorado since the age of two. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her two pit bulls, Athena and Hercules, snowboarding, and off-roading in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.

Julie has been with the University of Colorado for 7 years. She started her first position in January 2015 as data coordinator for Breast Cancer clinical trials. Julie transferred to a part-time data coordinator position with the Renal Division / Department of Surgery in August 2019 and currently works on multiple Kidney Transplant clinical trials. Originally from Scotland, Julie began her career as a Registered Nurse, worked in Health Education for Smith+Nephew and finally as a CRA with Quintiles. Julie took a year out in 2004 and traveled extensively in the USA, New Zealand and Australia before emigrating to Colorado in 2006.
