Dialysis Access involves the commitment of many team members ranging from dialysis nurses to nephrologists to surgeons, all working together to provide the best care to patients facing the need for dialysis. We offer an operating experience open to any interested clinician or administrator who would like to expand their expertise when it comes to dialysis access surgery. Participants are invited to spend time in the operating room during dialysis access procedures, allowing direct observation of the entire surgical procedure and one-on-one teaching from our team. Operations performed include:
Dr. Peter Kennealey (far left) and Lindsay Dyer-Kindy, PA-C (far right) with visiting providers Dr. Hameed Oguntade, MBBS, MWACP, and Christianah Obayori, RN, of Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti, Nigeria.
Our program has welcomed physicians, nurses, techs/aids, and administrators both internationally and locally and has been recognized by the dialysis community as an engaging and effective mode of increasing the surgical acumen of the entire dialysis access team.
