Operating-room Experience for Non-surgical Providers

Dialysis Access involves the commitment of many team members ranging from dialysis nurses to nephrologists to surgeons, all working together to provide the best care to patients facing the need for dialysis. We offer an operating experience open to any interested clinician or administrator who would like to expand their expertise when it comes to dialysis access surgery. Participants are invited to spend time in the operating room during dialysis access procedures, allowing direct observation of the entire surgical procedure and one-on-one teaching from our team. Operations performed include:

  • Laparoscopic Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Placement
  • Laparoscopic Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Revision
  • Arteriovenous Fistula Creation
  • Arteriovenous Graft Placement
  • Arteriovenous Fistula Revision
  • Arteriovenous Fistula Banding
