Peter Cherepanov

Francis Crick Institute

Peter Cherepanov is a Group Leader at the Francis Crick Institute and a Professor at Imperial College London. Using X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, Cherepanov and collaborators visualized the mechanism of the retroviral DNA integration process and the mode of action of HIV integrase strand transfer inhibitors. His research interests continue to focus on host-pathogen interactions, including retroviral integration.
