Dr. Stoneback works for the University of Colorado Hospital at the Anschutz Medical Campus, an academic medical center. CU Anschutz plays a large role in medical research, which allows physicians to stay ahead of the curve in treatment options and provide better outcomes for their patients.
Dr. Stoneback’s clinical and research interests focus on the interdisciplinary approach to optimize health outcomes in patients who lose or are at risk of limb loss. He does research in the fields of limb loss, osseointegration, and orthopedic trauma. Dr. Stoneback has always been intrigued and inspired by the connection between form and function.
Osseointegrated prosthetics are cutting-edge treatment options for amputees. Dr. Stoneback serves as the Director of the Osseointegration Research Consortium, which studies long-term outcomes following osseointegration surgery in amputees.
