First Time Patient

Are you a first time patient for Dr. McCarty or his team? If so, please prepare to bring:

• your insurance card
• if you have had any additional imaging, please bring that on a disc to the appointment.
• previous radiology reports
• previous operative reports

What to expect:

If you have not had any imaging, we will most likely obtain x-rays during your appointment visit to view with you.

Dr. McCarty does head the fellowship program for graduated orthopedic surgeons at CU Sports Medicine. The fellowship is a vigorous program designed for orthopedic surgeons to specialize in sports medicine surgery. Because of this, you will most likely meet with an orthopedic fellow at the same time as your appointment. Not only does Dr. McCarty work with these doctors, but he believes in education for residents, college students, and high school students. Due to this, you may see students shadowing during clinic.
