MHA's very own Jennifer Thurston was honored with the 2023 University of Colorado Staff Excellence Award!  Jennifer received a remarkable 72 nominations from the Modern Human Anatomy Program's faculty, students, staff, and alumni.  These nominations are submitted to the University of Colorado Staff Council and scored by representatives from all four campuses and the system office using a standardized scoring matrix. Jennifer was selected as one of the two CU Anschutz Medical Campus awardees for the Staff Excellence Award for 2023, and attended the awards ceremony on October 6th.  

Jennifer describes the meaning of the award and her MHA team:  "I was shocked to received this award, especially considering the huge number of truly remarkable staff members here at the CU-Anschutz Medical Campus. It is humbling to receive so many nominations, particularly from our MHA students and alumni.  It is such a privilege to work with our students and I learn so much from each of them.  I also work with an amazing team of faculty who care intensely about the success of our students.  I share that love of training and mentoring our students with our faculty, and I couldn't ask for a more rewarding and fun academic community. Our students and faculty make the MHA program one of the top anatomy programs in the country."
