Feb 4, 2026
Second year MHA students, Sydney Azar and Kate Berall, presented their clinical research at the annual CSI America conference in Orlando, Florida, January 21-23rd. Both students are mentored by Jenny Zablah, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics-Cardiology and Director of the Cath Lab Advanced Imaging Program at Children's Hospital Colorado. Sydney Azar's oral presentation was titled, "Evaluating the Accuracy and Efficiency of Virtual Reality Segmentation for Fetal Cardiac MRI," and Kate Berall's presentation was titled, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart – Investigating Extravascular Perforation in Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Replacements.”
Both students had amazing experiences at the conference. Sydney noted, "Traveling to Orlando for CSI was such an enriching experience and a wonderful networking opportunity! Meeting and watching presentations by physicians and other researchers was so eye-opening for someone like me, as I am going to medical school after I graduate from MHA."
Both students received MHA Student Travel Funding support to attend the conference.
Congratulations to Sydney and Kate!
