Jun 11, 2026
MHA student, Aitana Gonzales (pictured left), traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to join the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers 2026 Conference in May. Aitana's poster presentation was titled, "Ocrelizumab and Rituximab Comparison In the Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis." Aitana's mentor, Enrique Alvarez, MD, PhD (pictured on the right) also attended the conference.
Aitana had an amazing time at the conference and said, "By participating in the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers 2026 Conference, I received great feedback on my research from a multidisciplinary audience and an invaluable chance to share my story with the Multiple Sclerosis community. At first, I was a tad intimidated, but I truly know and feel like the trainee scientist I have become throughout the Modern Human Anatomy Program. My Capstone Chair Dr. Enrique Alvarez MD, PhD and Advisor Dr. John Caldwell, along with the staff and faculty of the MHA program, have been great mentors and teachers to me along my journey."
Aitana received a HIRs Travel Award through the CU-Anschutz Graduate School that helped support her travel. Congratulations, Aitana!
