DOM Systems Improvement Conference will resume July 12 at Noon via Zoom

Announcing 6^th Annual DOM Shark Tank Winners

Elizabeth Matthews, MD (Neurology Fellow) and Jose Henao-Cordero, MD (Infectious Disease Fellow) are the 6th Annual DOM Shark Tank winners for their project, Vaccination for Patients On or Starting Immunosuppressive Therapy: Increasing Compliance through Standardized Guidelines and Improved Access. Their project aim is to improve vaccination compliance for patients on immunosuppressive therapies and to improve vaccine access for patients. As winners, they will receive one year of support from the DOM Quality & Patient Safety team with project coaching and data analytics development.  

We’d like to thank all our finalists and judges for their participation and look forward to working with Dr. Matthews and Dr. Henao-Cordero over the next year. If you missed the event, you can view a recording of the competition.

AY21–22 UCH/CUSOM Quality & Safety Performance

The DOM exceeded targets in all gateway metrics for the UCH/CUSOM Quality & Safety Performance incentive program for AY21–22.  Department-level CDI compliance rates are at 94%, we have 92% compliance with the consult optimization project and 100% compliance with faculty completing OPPE. Additionally, the DOM exceeded targets in the Vizient mortality index, 30-day unplanned readmissions and resident and fellow attendance at Collaborative Case Reviews.
