Rachel Cappello

Rachel Cappello, PA-C | September 2023-2024 Cohort

Rachel is from Gilford, New Hampshire. She earned a Bachelor’s in Biology from Siena College in Albany, New York, and then went on to earn a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Albany Medical College. Her previous roles include an EMT on an ambulance service, a quality control analyst at Lonza Biopharmaceutical Company, and an AEMT at Dartmouth Hitchcock ER. Outside of work, she enjoys biking, hiking, camping, reading, knitting, and baking. If Rachel wasn’t in healthcare, she’d be a wildlife biologist!  

Sam Moldo

Sam Moldo, NP | September 2023-2024 Cohort

Sam is from Buffalo, New York. He earned an MSN from the University of Colorado in May of 2023 and a BSN from the University at Buffalo. Before starting the fellowship, he worked as a MSPCU RN here at UCH! His hobbies include hiking, trail running, skiing, and cheering on Buffalo sports teams (much to his dismay sometimes). If he wasn’t in healthcare, he would be working at REI!   

Cali Ormsby

Cali Ormsby, PA-C | September 2023-2024 Cohort

Cali is from Dillon, Colorado. She earned a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado in May 2023. Before the fellowship, Cali worked as a sociology teaching assistant at CU Boulder and as a clinic assistant at Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center. In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, road biking, camping, spending time with her family, and learning to garden. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she’d be a National Park Ranger!  

Anna Pond

Anna Pond, NP | September 2023-2024 Cohort

Anna is from Cedarburg, Wisconsin. She earned an MSN from the University of Colorado. Before fellowship, Anna worked as an RN in the Emergency Department and on the Acute Care of the Elderly floor. Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking, camping, and a good audiobook. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would be a high school math teacher! 

Nicole Rento

Nicole Rento, PA-C | September 2023-2024 Cohort

Nicole is from Newport News, Virginia. She graduated from the CU CHAPA program in May 2023. She started in health tech after college before working in the ED for PA school. Nicole’s favorite pastime is skiing, and she also enjoys pickleball, golfing, yard games, reading on the beach, and any activity including pasta or wine. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would be the person scuba diving at the aquarium, caring for the fish.   

Anthony Ribarich

Anthony Ribarich, PA-C | September 2023-2024 Cohort

Anthony is from Pueblo, Colorado. He graduated from Colorado Mesa University in May 2023 with an MPAS degree. Prior to starting the fellowship, he worked as a research assistant and ED Physician Scribe. Anthony’s hobbies include Colorado sports, golfing, hiking, video games, cooking, weight lifting, and spending time with his friends and family. If he wasn’t in healthcare, he’d be involved with research or would be a stay-at-home dog dad!   

Michael Crookshanks

Michael Crookshanks, PA-C  | March 2024-2025 Cohort

Michael is from Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his MSPAS from Case Western Reserve University in August 2023. Before becoming a fellow, he worked in Electrophysiology Clinical Trials Research. He enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, cooking, and music. If he wasn’t in healthcare, he would be a professional chef! 

Madison Dewhirst

Madison Dewhirst, PA-C | March 2024-2025 Cohort

Madison is from Hanover, New Hampshire. She earned an MS from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA from Colby College. Before fellowship, she worked in the CU Orthopedic floor, in Cardiology MA+LNA at the University of Vermont, and as a Perioperative Support Tech at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She likes having adventures with her dog, Luna. She also likes hiking, biking, skiing, camping, paddle boarding, golfing, and playing hockey! If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would be a teacher, coach, or ski patroller!  

Chad Keller

Chad Keller, PA-C | March 2024-2025 Cohort

Chad is a military brat and has lived all over the place!  He was born in Illinois, lived in Germany for 4 years, and spent the most time in Nebraska before coming to Colorado 8 years ago. He has an MPAS from Rocky Vista University. He earned both a master's degree in Exercise Science and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Before fellowship, he worked in cardiac stress testing. He enjoys camping, grilling, making hobbit breakfast, gaming, reading, and watching movies. He has a lot of interests and is trying to live two lifetimes in one! If he wasn’t in healthcare, he would own a traveling food truck that would double as his home.   

 

 

Caroline Carly Martinez

Caroline Carly Martinez, PA-C | March 2024-2025 Cohort

Carly is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She earned her MSPAS from the University of New Mexico in 2023. Before becoming a fellow, she worked as an EMT-B in urgent care from 2019-2021. She loves to hike, bike, ski, practice yoga, and is working on making the perfect sourdough! If she wasn’t in healthcare, she’d open her own bakery and teach yoga! 

Kathryn Mulvaney

Kathryn Mulvaney, NP | March 2024-2025 Cohort

Kathryn is originally from Chatham, New Jersey, but just moved here from Boston. She earned her MSN from Seton Hall University. Before the fellowship, she worked as an RN for 10 years. In Boston, she worked in the MICU at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She loves traveling and cooking at home. She also has been enjoying exploring Colorado by hiking and skiing! If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would go to culinary school and would be a host and judge on Bravo’s Top Chef! 

Tanea Tanda

Tanea Tanda, PA-C | March 2024-2025 Cohort

Tanea is from Denver, Colorado. She earned her MS-PAS from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2023. Before becoming a fellow, she worked as a Research Coordinator right here at CU Anschutz from 2010-2021. She likes reading, movies, travel (the relaxing kind with a book, beach, and fruity drink!), Harry Potter trivia, and Odesza. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would be working in the hospitality industry!
