Premutation Carrier Clinic

The Premutation Carrier Clinic is a subspecialty program within the Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado Denver. The program offers diagnostic services as well as treatment for a wide variety of conditions that may affect individuals who are fragile x premutation carriers, including tremors or problems with the ability to control the movements of one's body, as well as other medical and psychological problems associated with the premutation. 

Dr. Maureen Leehey serves as the Director for the Premutation Clinic, as she specializes in FXTAS and was the initial neurologist to describe this disorder in 2001. The premutation carrier clinic is accepting new patients and referrals can be faxed to 720-848-0117.
