About Us

The Denver Fragile X Clinics encompass a growing network of Colorado-based researchers and clinicians dedicated to the study and treatment of disorders associated with the fragile X gene.

Based at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, the network includes faculty from the CU School of Medicine, clinicians from Children’s Hospital Colorado and University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, and professionals from Developmental FX, a community-based non-profit organization providing clinical services to individuals with fragile X syndrome and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Providers include developmental pediatricians, neurologists, neuropsychologists, social workers, genetic counselors, as well as speech and occupational therapists who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of fragile X syndrome, the fragile X premutation, and fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS).

In addition to clinical services and working to educate health care providers and the community about fragile X syndrome and related disorders, the members of the network direct and collaborate with other top researchers across the United States and internationally to conduct critical research studies that help to clarify the nature of disorders associated with the fragile X gene and targeted treatments.
