Mental Health Ambassador, Mental Health Center of Denver
Ms. Ritter began her advocacy work for mental health and wellness while serving as the First Lady of Colorado. She continues to work to advance integrated care efforts, increase mental health literacy, expand support, and to ensure access for mental health services across the community. She was the co-chair of the legislative task force for House Bill 2013-1296 to make recommendations for updating Colorado’s civil commitment laws. Her 10 years of experience as a teacher in Denver Public Schools reinforced her conviction for supporting families with behavioral health concerns. Ms. Ritter serves on numerous community boards and committees including the Depression Center; the Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation; Rose Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Health Committee; the Colorado Coalition for Parity; and the SIM Advisory Board.
