Dr. Muther is Vice-President of medical services–behavioral health, at Salud Family Health Centers, a large FQHC system providing behavioral health services in 12 clinics. He is also a senior clinical instructor at the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine. His specialty area is integrated primary care psychology, and he is involved in direct patient care, training and supervision, program development and evaluation; as well as advocacy for healthcare policy change. His primary areas of interest are working with those traditionally underserved by existing systems and working with the Spanish-speaking population. He is committed to providing treatment and program development to address life stress and the full spectrum of mental disorders, behavioral interventions for physical illnesses, and evaluating health outcomes. Additional areas of research and clinical interest include integrated primary care and team-based approaches to care, provision of supervision and training to bilingual psychology trainees, child/adolescent therapy, and acculturation discrepancies within Latinx families.
