Gesa is a new member of the Departmental Engagement Leadership Team in the Department of Family Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department, Director of Didactics for the DFM Psychology Internship, and leads behavioral health integration efforts at UCHealth Lone Tree Primary Care. Gesa is committed to expanding behavioral health access in our communities through integrated primary care and improving care for medically complex patients through contextually responsive care. Her professional interests include women in medicine and academia, improving service delivery for a broad range of patient populations, and advancing workforce development through doctoral training programs and strengthening team functioning.

What is an informative, quirky, or fun fact about yourself?
Gesa's hobbies include painting portraits, cooking, crafting, dancing and video games. She loves fashion, travel, and performing arts (opera, ballet, theater). Gesa also wanted to be a Marine Biologist as a child and is still passionate about anything related to animals!
