Transplant Specialties

Our Nephrology team provides comprehensive kidney transplant care, including donor and recipient evaluation, post-transplant immunosuppression management, graft dysfunction management, desensitization and paired exchange. As a high-volume transplant center, we perform more than 300 kidney and kidney/pancreas transplants each year. We also offer a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Program providing advanced training for physicians who have completed ACGME-accredited general nephrology training.

Our Hepatologists provide care for a broad range of liver diseases and conditions, including viral hepatitis, liver tumors, autoimmune diseases, cholestatic diseases, fibrocystic diseases, vascular diseases and all aspects of liver transplantation. Approximately 100 deceased- and living-donor liver transplants are performed each year, with outcomes that rank among the best in the United States. We also offer an ACGME-accredited Transplant Hepatology Fellowship.

As the region’s only lung transplant program, our team delivers high-quality, comprehensive care to patients from Colorado and across several surrounding states. Our transplant pulmonologists work alongside thoracic surgeons, infectious disease specialists, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians and nurses in a multidisciplinary environment to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. We also offer a one-year Transplant Pulmonology Fellowship Program for pulmonologists seeking additional expertise in lung transplantation.
