About Transplant Medicine
The CU Anschutz Division of Transplant Medicine was created in 2026 to bring together world-class experts dedicated to advancing patient care, groundbreaking research and educating future transplant leaders. As Colorado's academic transplant medicine program, we are proud to partner closely with our colleagues in Transplant Surgery, the University of Colorado Hospital, and the Transplant Center to continually improve access, outcomes, and the patient experience. Together, we are building a nationally recognized program that not only delivers outstanding care today but also shapes the future of transplantation for patients across Colorado and beyond.

How We Work with the UCHealth Transplant Center
The UCHealth Transplant Center at University of Colorado Hospital is the clinical home for transplantation on the Anschutz campus. It brings together the teams and services needed to care for patients throughout the transplant journey, from evaluation and transplantation through long-term follow-up. The Transplant Center provides comprehensive care for heart, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas transplant patients.
The CU Anschutz Division of Transplant Medicine, part of the Department of Medicine, is the academic home for physicians and researchers dedicated to transplant medicine. The division brings together expertise across organ transplant programs and medical specialties to advance patient care, research, innovation and education.
The Division of Transplant Medicine works in close partnership with the UCHealth Transplant Center, the Division of Transplant Surgery, and a broad network of clinical and academic partners across Anschutz. Together, these teams connect the academic expertise of CU Anschutz with the multidisciplinary clinical care provided at University of Colorado Hospital, all with a shared goal of improving the health and lives of transplant patients.
