Plastic Surgery Residency Programs

Introduction

Welcome to the University of Colorado Plastic Surgery Residency. We have two paths available for residency training. The
Independent track is a 3-year program available to residents who have completed five years of general surgery training. The Integrated track is a 6-year program (combined with general surgery) available to medical school graduates. For more information, please use the menu to the left.

We provide training in general plastic surgery and the various sub-specialties including:

  • General reconstructive surgery
  • Flaps
  • Wound healing
  • Burn surgery
  • Hand surgery
  • Breast reconstruction
  • Craniofacial surgery
  • Head & Neck reconstruction
  • Lower extremity reconstruction
  • Cosmetic surgery
  • Pediatric plastic surgery
  • Microsurgery

Training will occur at University of Colorado Hospital, Children's Hospital Colorado, Denver Health Medical Center, and VA Eastern Colorado Health System. Each participating institution is unique and essential in providing the necessary volume and variety of cases for optimal training. All of the participating institutions are within a 10-mile radius of the sponsoring institution.
