For Our Patients
Everything you need to know before your visit with Dr. Andrew Federer at the Cherry Creek Medical Center.
A few simple steps help our team focus on what matters most — your care.
Allow time for check-in, intake paperwork, and any pre-visit imaging required by your provider.
Photo ID, current insurance card, referral (if required), and a list of medications, allergies, and prior surgeries.
Most major commercial plans and Medicare are accepted. Please confirm benefits with your carrier and bring any required referral.
Bring CDs or reports for any recent X-rays, MRI, CT scans, or operative notes related to your hand, wrist, or elbow concern.
Completing your new-patient paperwork through the secure UCHealth patient portal ahead of time means a faster, smoother first visit.
Some insurance plans (HMO, certain Medicare plans) require a referral from your primary care provider. Please check with your insurance carrier before scheduling.
Plan for approximately 45–60 minutes for a new-patient consultation, including any in-office imaging. Follow-up visits are usually 20–30 minutes.
Many hand, wrist, and elbow conditions are evaluated with an in-office X-ray. If advanced imaging is needed, our team will help coordinate it.
If surgery is recommended, our surgical coordinator will contact you to schedule, verify insurance benefits, and review pre-operative instructions.
