Protection of trainee rights in the workplace remains a priority of the ORE Student Council. Below is a list of resources and policies available for trainees and other employees:

ResourcePurpose
Ombuds OfficeThe Ombuds Office provides students, faculty, and staff the space to confidentially communicate university-related concerns. As a neutral, third-party service, the Ombuds Office can help individuals identify options to move forward and facilitate discussions between parties. Visits will not automatically trigger formal courses of action unless specified by the individual.
Office of Adaptable Resolutions (OAR)The Office of Adaptable Resolutions (OAR) offers private mediation to students, faculty, and staff to address and manage conflict through collaborative and community-strengthening conversations. OAR also offers individual coaching and training to foster robust communication and conflict resolution skills.
Office of Equity (OE)Students, faculty, and staff may file a report through the Office of Equity (OE) for cases related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or other forms of harm. Reports made through the OE are private but not confidential (explicit definitions of this difference can be found on the OE webpage). Campus-specific policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws related to their work are directly linked on their webpage.
ORE Maxient FormStudents, faculty, and staff may use this form to share any concerns or report any type of issue or concern about oneself or others. Once submitted, the form will be routed to the corresponding Program Director and Program Administrator for follow-up. If an individual prefers NOT to notify the program, they may select "ORE" from the Program list and the form will instead be routed to the ORE Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.
Workplace Bullying PolicyThe Workplace Bullying Policy includes key definitions and employee rights in the context of workplace bullying, as well as related policies and resources.
Anti-Retaliation PolicyThe Anti-Retaliation Policy protects employees from materially adverse actions threatened or taken as a response to their connection with filed complaints.
Faculty Professionalism Code of ConductThe Faculty Professionalism Code of Conduct outlines the professional standards and responsibilities expected of faculty members, including definitions and examples of unacceptable faculty behavior and repercussions for repeated violations.
