New Publication
Judy Regensteiner, PhD, director of the Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research and Distinguished Professor of Medicine, and Jane E.B. Reusch, MD, associate director of the center and professor of medicine, are authors of "Sex Differences in Cardiovascular Consequences of Hypertension, Obesity, and Diabetes: JACC Focus Seminar 4/7" in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
ASCO Young Investigator Award
Robert Lentz, MD, hematology/oncology fellow in the Division of Medical Oncology was awarded an ASCO Young Investigator Award for "Evaluation of immune biomarkers in a human immune system patient-derived xenograft model and phase II clinical trial of a novel innate immune checkpoint inhibitor combination in refractory microsatellite stable colorectal cancer."
New Publication
Laura Peters, NP, assistant professor of medicine, and Amrut Ambardekar, MD, associate professor of medicine, both from the Division of Cardiology, published "Association of COVID-19 Vaccination With Risk of COVID-19 Infection, Hospitalization, and Death in Heart Transplant Recipients" in JAMA Cardiology.
Melonoma Alliance Young Investigator Award
Kasey Couts, PhD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Medical Oncology, and co-director of the CU Center for Rare Melanomas, is the recipient of the Melonoma Alliance Young Investigator Award for the study, "Targeting anti-tumor immunity in anatomically distinct mucosal melanomas". This three-year award provides $225,000 in funding.
