My name is Daniel Gergen. I attended medical school at Georgetown University, completed Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Colorado, and then was a Chief Resident for the 2020–21 academic year. I am currently the first-year Clinician-Educator fellow for the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine. I am excited to be one of the DOM Medical Education Fellows for 2022–23! I am interested in improving critical care education. Specifically, how we prepare interns and residents for their intensive care unit rotations to maximize their training experience. I am looking forward to working with clinician-educators across the DOM in just a few months!

Christine Sailer grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and attended Vanderbilt University for college, where she graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Chemistry and Biology. She completed medical school and internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University before joining the faculty as a hospitalist and clinician-educator. In 2019, she began general cardiology fellowship at the University of Colorado. Along with co-fellow Chris Kovach, she was awarded the Blount Scholarship to develop a cardiac arrest simulation curriculum for residents at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She was selected to serve as the chief cardiology fellow for the 2021–22 academic year and has appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the program’s educational curriculum. In her free time, Christine enjoys reading and spending time in the outdoors with her significant other and their two dogs. Next year, she will continue her training at the University of Colorado as the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellow and as one of the DOM Medical Education Fellows.
