Cancer Prevention and Control
The goal of the Cancer Prevention & Control Program is to apply the expertise of behavioral, basic, and clinician-scientists to conduct innovative and impactful cancer research that reduces Colorado’s cancer burden. CPC brings together outstanding transdisciplinary scientists with strengths in public health, psychology, epidemiology, economics, basic science, and cancer care delivery.
Population Health Services
Pre-Award Services, Database Research Activities PHSR staff are familiar with commonly used datasets (e.g., the SEER research database, SEER-Medicare, All Payer Claim Dataset, Colorado Cancer Registry, COMPASS, ONCORE, ORIEN) along with many others. Geospatial Analysis PHSR staff can assist with geospatial analyses or incorporating geospatial measures into research questions.
Oncology Counseling Services
Our team of oncology trained licensed clinical social workers and psychologists work with you to alleviate mental health symptoms associated with cancer care.
Breast Cancer Wellness Series
This is a free, quarterly series focused on living well with a breast cancer diagnosis. Rotating topics vary across a broad range of survivorship concerns including sexual health, managing lymphedema, navigating treatment-induced menopause and addressing psychological well-being in survivorship.
