Dr. Bazemore is also co-director of the Center for Professionalism and Value in Health Care. Before this he was the director of the Robert Graham Policy Center where he oversaw research and projects related to access to care for underserved populations, health workforce, spatial analysis and health, and more. Dr. Bazemore is a faculty member of the departments of family medicine at Georgetown University and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and in the department of health policy at George Washington University School of Public Health. He’s a practicing family physician and teaches students and residents at VCU-Fairfax Family Medicine Residency program, and is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and appointed member of the federal Council on Graduate Medical Education.
