Our Recent Work

In partnership with the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing and the Colorado Department of Human Services, Dr. Gritz is leading a research project developing an integrated data warehouse of Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) fee-for-service claims data, Behavioral Health Organizations/Regional Accountable Entities’ behavioral health encounter files, electronic health records, and child welfare agency data to address policy and research questions identified by the Departments. The project studied health care access, cost and utilization by children and youth in foster care compared to other Health First Colorado members with similar characteristics, including medical and behavioral health complexities.
