Optimizing Telehealth during COVID: Listening to the Primary Care Voice

In partnership with ECHO Colorado, the Farley Health Policy Center, designed and implemented virtual sessions to collect primary care stories and experiences with telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic. This brief presents providers’ experiences with the rapid shift to telehealth and their recommendations to optimize these services in the near future and post-pandemic. Recommendations can provide guidance to payers, policy makers, and administrators in designing policies and strategies to support telehealth services, including clarifying billing and payment, offering guidance on service delivery, promoting equitable access to telehealth, and providing workforce training.
