Canvas access has been restored for our users, but the service reliability remains uncertain. Due to recent events, Canvas has had intermittent outages which are at the discretion of the vendor and may occur during a final exam. Faculty and staff may continue to use Canvas, but we strongly advise faculty and students to prepare a contingency plan for turning in assignments and final exams in the event Canvas access becomes unavailable again.
Instructure, the company that owns Canvas, has provided an FAQ about the incident, which may not answer all your questions. We will share more information if it becomes available.
Re-imagining Leadership: A Pathway for Rural Health to Thrive in a COVID-19 World
Nov 30, 2020
The Farley Health Policy Center and the Colorado Hospital Association partnered to create an evidence-based playbook designed to support rural hospitals and primary care practices navigate ongoing COVID-19 related challenges, including clinical care, space, staffing, and supplies. The practical resource incorporates case-based learning and strategic thinking prompts, as well as findings from the literature and key informant interviews from over 30 rural health care leaders and patients in Colorado. The playbook also contains a brand-new rural health care delivery system assessment tool that provides rural hospitals and clinics with a tool to understand their current capacity and opportunities for improvement across five domains, including governance and leadership; community engagement; financial health; clinical care; and emergency preparedness and resilience. Rather than guiding readers on exactly what to do, the playbook encourages rural health care leaders to develop the skills needed to critically examine and own their solutions.
