MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION
The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) approved CUSOM to award Maintenance of Certification Part IV credits to physicians for meaningful participation in qualified quality improvement (QI) initiatives through the Maintenance of Certification Portfolio Approval Program (MOCPAP).
This allows physicians to meet MOC part IV requirement for board re-certification.

EARN ACCREDITED CME – LEARNING FROM TEACHING
Learning from Teaching encourages your own professional development as a clinician and medical educator. You can earn AMA Physician Recognition Award Category 1 Credit™ by engaging in new learning intended to make you a better teacher, and then applying your new learning to teaching medical students, residents and fellows. CME can be attained by acquiring new factual information, communication skills or teaching techniques. Then, apply your new learning to teaching and apply for credit. To discuss the requirements and receive an LFT application, please email the CME Administrator Pam Welker or call her at 303-724-3551.
Volunteer Clinical Faculty members can obtain a library account which provides the faculty member online access to the library’s digital resources from off-campus. These resources include full-text journals, evidence-based databases, e-books, article retrieval and access to Up-to-Date. In-person access to the library on the Anschutz Medical Campus during all business hours, and on-site assistance from the library’s friendly staff. A library card account allowing for checkout of books and other resources like books for 2 weeks (and the ability to reserve textbooks, laptops and other resources). The Ability to use Prospector and order books from other libraries for delivery and pick-up at the Health Sciences Library. Free or reduced-fee library services, including library classes and professional librarian-conducted literature reviews, or services of library liaisons and reference librarian assistants.
The Academy of Medical Educators provides a home base for teachers and a mechanism to support and enhance all educational programs and teachers at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine. There you will find links to online narrated modules with quizzes and interactive elements covering teaching, feedback and career development.
The Academy and OCBME are developing additional live workshops for volunteer clinical faculty members, including such topics as delivering feedback to learners, bedside teaching in busy office practices, assessing and grading students and dealing with struggling learners.

OCBME offers two full tuition grants to the Family Medicine Review held in Estes Park and two scholarships to the Family Medicine review held on the Anschutz Medical Campus in November.
