Dr. Borges is the educational coordinator for the Division of Medical Oncology, an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency and Director of the Internal Medicine Resident Research Program. Her research centers around clinical breast cancer research including clinical trials with anti-endocrine therapies, novel biologic drug and immunotherapies. The breast research program participates in SWOG, NSABP, RTOG and intergroup studies, of which she is an active member. The Borges Lab is focused on the development of novel vaccines and combination immunotherapy for breast cancer and also, though collaborative programs, on potential biologic differences and therapeutic targets for young women's’ breast cancer.
