Laboratory Services

The iC42 Clinical Laboratory tests over 500 urine samples and additional blood samples a week using state of the art LC-MS/MS technology.

Blood Samples: iC42 handles blood samples from transplant and cancer patients for the monitoring of the immunosuppressant everolimus. The laboratory is currently developing methods for the testing of dried blood spots for the detection of the full panel of drugs detected in urine samples. The development of this method will allow for the comparison of drug analyte levels in both urine and blood for a more comprehensive and detailed report for clinicians as well as for therapeutic drug monitoring with highly inter-individual pharmacokinetics such as methadone.7

Urine Samples: The assay used for urine analyses detects a range of 136 analytes ranging from common over-the-counter drugs to illicit and illegal substances. Both qualitative (structurally confirmed) and quantitative results are determined for each sample with extremely high accuracy and precision. Additionally, creatinine, pH, oxidants, and specific gravity are recorded for each urine sample to flag for possible adulterations or inconsistent urine.

“We trust iC42 Toxicology to provide accurate next day testing for multiple drug panels including opioid, illicit, and etc. The results are reliable, fast, accurate, and when we’ve asked for individualized services or results interpretation, their staff is ready and willing to comply. Their professionalism is exceptional.”
