Research Projects
Our laboratory is broadly focused on learning:
- How exposures, such as secondhand cigarette smoke, impact lung and sinus disease;
- How COPD develops during its earliest stages;
- Why some people are plagued by frequent, destructive flares called exacerbations;
- How to optimize the delivery of therapies that can be lifesaving.
We use a multidisciplinary approach to answer these questions including epidemiologic, clinical, and translational research.
