How to Set Up a PubMed RSS Feed

Step 1

Go to PubMed and type in your search terms.

Step 2

Once you've verified that you have the right search results, click the "Create RSS" link.

Step 3

Click the "Create RSS" button. A URL will appear in the text input below the button. Copy that URL to your clipboard.

Step 4

Now, open Sitefinity. Go to the "RSS Feed Reader" content area.

Step 5

Click the "Create a RSS Feed Reader" button.

Step 6

Fill out the fields as shown below.

Step 7

Go to the page on which you want the RSS feed to appear. Scroll down to "RSS Feed Reader" in the Widgets sidebar and drag that widget into the area of the page where you want to place it.

Step 8

Click the "Edit" link for the widget you just dropped on the page.

Step 9

Select the RSS feed you created above, in Step 6. Choose whether to show the title or hide it and write your own headline. Select the view you want -- usually "Title, Date and Summary."

Then, click "Save," and you're in business!
