Most employers offer maternity leave, but if they don't, or if you need an extension, Colorado's FAMLI Act took affect January 2024.
The FAMLI (Family and Medical Leave Insurance) provides eligible employees with up to 12 weeks of paid leave to care for themselves or their family. Employees who experience pregnancy or childbirth complications (including mood and anxiety disorders) may receive an additional four weeks of leave. Employees can take FAMLI continuously, intermittently, or in the form of a reduced work schedule.
