Lung Cancer

thoracic oncology program

Concannon Research Laboratory

The Concannon Lab is focused on overcoming resistance in lung cancer, getting to the crux of the genetic component to a disease that leave people feeling helpless. Research will center around investigating driver mutations in lung cancer starting with ALK-positive and ROS1-positive NSCLC.

Schenk Research Laboratory

The Schenk Lab studies the lung cancer tumor microenvironment, focusing on the immune cells within the tumor and how specific sub-types can contribute to treatment resistance.

Thoracic Oncology Research Initiative (TORI)

The goal of TORI is to advance lung cancer research at the University of Colorado, building on a long history of collaborations spanning basic, translational and clinical research.
