Implementing Technology and Medication Assisted Treatment Team Training and Resources

Did you know...

Only 3 out of 10 people who need treatment for opioid use disorder receive it?

Ask yourself:  "Would this be acceptable for diabetes, heart disease, asthma…cancer?”

Your Community Matters

IT MATTTRs TM can help you close the treatment gap in your community!  The IT MATTTRs Program offers exciting, evidence-based community materials and training for primary care practice teams to help reduce suffering from opioid dependence and use disorder (OUD).

  • Recognizing the key role primary care play in our overall health, the IT MATTTRs Team Training equips primary care and behavioral health teams with information, step-by-step guides, and resources to provide effective outpatient treatment with buprenorphine.
  • In combination with preparing practices, a menu of diverse messages and materials helps change the conversation around opioids and treatment in the broader community.

A partnership of diverse community members, OUD experts, practice facilitators, and health researchers affiliated with the University of Colorado developed IT MATTTRs.  Across the country, health professionals, community organizations and clubs, and others are working together using IT MATTTRs to inform and activate their community members and increase access to local outpatient treatment for opioid dependence and use disorder.

Help people with opioid dependence and use disorder in your community get their life back.

When addicted, people take opioid pain medications or heroin just to feel normal, not to get high.
