Goal:  The goals of the Fort Collins Primary Care Interest group are to expose students to the breadth of primary care settings and specialties and depths of primary care clinical topics and procedures, as well as to build relationships between students and primary care providers in the community.

Goal:

• Host events/trainings that provide the knowledge and practical skill necessary to be competent wilderness medical providers and rescuers. 
• Form connections with the local outdoor rescue professionals and medical providers of all levels through these events. 
• Through the skills we gain, serve the outdoor recreationalists of Northern Colorado.

Past Events:

• Night with a Flight Medic
  • Heard from a flight medic on the special considerations of providing care in austere settings
• Airway Skills Training Night
  • Simulated placing airways including OPAs, NPAs, supraglottic airways, and intubation
  • Simulated surgical airways
  • Learned relative and absolute indications and contraindications for each of these.

The Fort Collins Regional Medical Student Association (MSA) is a student-run, volunteer unofficial CU School of Medicine at CSU medical student group. The MSA’s primary goals include but are not limited to building community among FCRMC students, fostering connections between the Fort Collins Regional Medical Campus and the Colorado State University community and its students, and enhancing learning by connecting students to additional resources such as special interest or research groups. The FCRMC MSA organizes student socials both on and off campus, plans family events so that the spouses, partners and families feel connected to the branch; works with CSU undergrad and graduate students to build a bridge between the two institutions; and provides connections with outside learning opportunities and groups. Fort Collins Administrators act as advisors to assist with implementation of MSA events.
