Celebrating new members and members receiving new designations
Each year, the Academy of Medical Educators gathers to celebrate educators across the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The annual Induction Ceremony formally welcomes new members at all Academy levels and recognizes current members who have earned a new designation by advancing to another level or adding an Academy track. During the ceremony, each inductee is recognized individually, highlighting both their contributions to medical education and something that helps us get to know them beyond their professional accomplishments. Celebrating Achievement, Community, and Connection
The Academy of Medical Educators celebrated its 2026 Induction Ceremony with new and advancing members, colleagues, family, and friends from across the School of Medicine community. Shanta Zimmer, MD, Executive Vice Dean for Education, joined the celebration and offered remarks recognizing the contributions of the Academy’s educators.
During the ceremony, each inductee is recognized individually, highlighting both their contributions to medical education and something that helps us get to know them beyond their professional accomplishments. Members receive their Academy certificate
The celebration continued with a reception, where members and guests gathered to mark the occasion. The Academy’s annual photo booth returned for another year, giving members, colleagues, family, and friends a chance to capture a few memories along the way.
