What is StopRA: National?StopRA: National is a research study designed to follow people who are at-risk of developing RA based on having a positive anti-CCP test, but without a diagnosis of RA. The goals of StopRA:National are to:

  • Understand the biology of how RA develops
  • Improve our ability to predict who will develop RA
  • Ultimately find ways to prevent RA

Who can participate in StopRA: National?

  • StopRA:National will study individuals who are over the age of 18 and who have a positive anti-CCP test - but who also do not have a diagnosis of RA.
  • StopRA:National will study people who already know that they are anti-CCP(+).  StopRA:National will also arrange testing for anti-CCP for people who haven’t been tested.
  • You can participate in StopRA:National by first getting your blood tested for anti-CCP, or if you already have a positive CCP test we will work with you to get access to your medical records.  From there if you are positive for CCP and otherwise eligible you can be enrolled in the main part of our study, which would evaluate you once a year for up to 5 years.

StopRA:National expects to launch in late February 2025.  In the meantime, please reach out if you are interested in participating when the study opens or if you have questions!
