What is the most rewarding thing about radiology residency?

One of the most rewarding things about the field of radiology is the large number of interesting patients/cases we see each day. I love the opportunity to learn from every case, as even the studies free of pathology may have anatomic variations or other interesting incidental findings. I have found the most rewarding thing about radiology residency to be the growth in your knowledge base, dictation skills, volume, and accuracy over time. Most trainees have little in-depth exposure to radiology prior to starting as an R1. It is satisfying to feel things start to come together as you progress through your training.
