Biking around town, hiking, and camping
The greatest strength of our program is the volume and breadth of studies read while on day rotations and especially on call, where you will read studies from each and every type of modality. Being able to train in a university setting and in a county hospital, you'll experience the full breadth of radiology - from complex cancer cases read on a daily basis out of the emergency department, to very complex trauma. The attendings are great and are available 24/7 to assist you as much as you need. The same applies to IR. High volume and high acuity cases are experienced on a daily basis while on rotation. Don't expect to be anything other than a great diagnostic and/or interventional radiologist when you graduate.
