Dr. Meghan Donovan is currently a VA Big Data Advanced Fellow in Mental Illness Research and Treatment at the Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC). She completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Florida State University in 2020. Dr. Donovan’s doctoral work focused on effects of social isolation and probiotic intake on the gut-immune-brain axis and behaviors in socially monogamous prairie voles. Her primary research goal is to better understand how the gut-immune-brain axis is involved in psychiatric disorders. Dr. Donovan is particularly interested in how environmental, psychosocial, and lifestyle factors can shape mental health outcomes.
