Research Interests:

I’m interested in learning how parents of young children interact with the home environment to influence health behaviors related to growth and development. My research aims to develop and test interventions designed to treat pediatric obesity by modifying the home environment and parenting behaviors that impact child diet, activity, and sleep.

Current Projects Include:

  • Environmental Influences on Early Childhood Obesity
      • Healthy Homes
      • Healthy Parenting at Home
      • Healthy Sleep at Home
  • Family and Home Environment Factors Impacting Sleep Duration
  • Community-Clinical Linkages for Diabetes Prevention in Low-income Families: The Healthy Living Program
  • The Home Food Environment: Linking Home Food Availability with Nutritional Health and Chronic Disease Risk
