The DOP Instructor Faculty Working Group presents an interactive event open to all faculty and staff. Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Lotte Dyrbye, MD, MHPE will share up-to-date information on the prevalence, drivers, and consequences of burnout among healthcare workers. She will provide specific evidence-based tactics on mitigating risk of burnout and participating in efforts to transform work and culture. Lastly, Dr. Dyrbye will solicit ideas from participants on how CU SOM can become the destination where top diverse talent thrives.

Event Objectives

  • Explore the prevalence of burnout in healthcare worker and why it matters.
  • Generate a list of individual strategies to mitigate risk of burnout.
  • Recognize the shared responsibility to reduce burnout risk.
  • Examine core components of the CUTHRIVE strategy.
