How to Apply

Ideal Candidates and Selection Criteria

This program is for teams or individuals who have a specific improvement need in their local department, unit or service, and who need to get higher impact and sustainment from their current efforts.  Intact project teams are encouraged to attend.  Candidates may apply as individuals but are encouraged to apply as small teams (<5 people) from a common work area or a cross-functional effort.

Participant Expectations/Responsibilities

Lean Training Program emphasizes a set of foundational topics and skills that integrate with and build upon one another. Experiential learning methods, including small group work and simulations during sessions, draw upon theory embedded across the program. As a result, candidates must be able to commit to 100% attendance—which includes on-site presence and engagement for all days of the program. Participants will need to be freed in advance from clinical and administrative responsibilities during all Lean Training sessions.

Participants must submit an online application to be accepted to this course.

Eligibility

All clinical faculty and staff who meet the requirements above and are employed on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus or other Metro Denver UCHealth facilities are eligible for the Lean Training Program.

The IHQSE Introductory Training Program is a prerequisite for this course.
